Toowong’s A Top Pick For Future Growth.

The perfect blend of convenience and neighbourhood friendliness defines the lifestyle on offer in Toowong and with Westpacs recent forecast that Brisbane will boom by 20% in 2022/2023 let’s take a look at why Toowong is a potential suburb to spearhead Brisbane’s growth.

'The Aviary' Toowong $450 million town centre transformation

Brisbane City Council last week gave the green light for State Development Corporation and advisory firm White and Partners to progress with their plans to develop “The Aviary”. The development is inspired by “The Grove” in Los Angeles and will include an open air five-story plaza with theatre, fresh food market, an elevated outdoor dining precinct, theatre and services such as a medical centre and much needed childcare facilities.

Construction on The Aviary is expected to start in 2021 and be completed in 2023.

A new $64 million school

To ease the overcrowding being experienced at Toowong State Primary school due to exponential growth in the inner west, $65 million will be spent on a new primary school in line with Anastasia Paluszek’s July announcement that $346 Million will be allocated to four new schools in South East Queensland.

Location, Location, Location

Once apon a time that fact that a suburb was located 5km from the CBD was a real selling point professional home buyers, now maybe not so much. But, Brisbane’s CBD these days is so much more than a business hub with world class restaurants, the new resort and entertainment style precinct that is Queens Wharf, a planned $2.1 Billion transformation of Eagle Street Pier, Griffith University planned relocation to Roma St, plans for Brisbane Live Arena at Roma Street Parklands, masterplans for reformation of Vic Park golf course into a state of the art park… and the list goes on. Not to mention infrastructure plans for better transport including the Cross-river Rail, Brisbane Metro and an international airport that rivals that of Sydney.

Yep, Toowong's got it going on.
